They prevent the release of an egg during the menstrual cycle, they thicken the mucus at the cervix to make it harder for sperm to pass through, and they change the lining of the uterus to reduce the chance of implantation. These combined effects make Veri Aristo a highly reliable contraceptive when used correctly.
VeRi Aristo follows a monthly cycle. The ring is worn continuously for 21 days, then removed for a 7 day break. During this time, a menstrual-like bleed typically occurs. A new ring is inserted after the break to begin the next cycle. Because it is used vaginally, VeRi Aristo acts locally while still providing full-body contraceptive effects. It remains in place during normal daily activities, including swimming, bathing, and exercise. If needed, it can be removed for short periods and reinserted without reducing effectiveness.
Most users tolerate VeRi Aristo well. Some people may experience side effects such as mild nausea, breast tenderness, mood changes, or vaginal discomfort. As with other combined hormonal contraceptives, it is not suitable for everyone, especially those with a history of blood clots or certain cardiovascular conditions.
General Information
VeRi Aristo is a hormonal contraceptive vaginal ring that contains etonogestrel and ethinylestradiol. It is used to prevent pregnancy by releasing hormones directly into the bloodstream through the vaginal wall.
VeRi Aristo is primarily used as a method of birth control to prevent pregnancy. It may also help regulate menstrual cycles and reduce symptoms like heavy or painful periods.
The ring releases a low dose of two hormones—etonogestrel (a progestin) and ethinylestradiol (an oestrogen)—which:
- Prevent ovulation (the release of an egg).
- Thicken cervical mucus to block sperm.
- Thin the uterine lining to make implantation less likely.
Insert one ring into the vagina and leave it in place for 21 days, followed by a 7-day break during which withdrawal bleeding usually occurs. After the break, insert a new ring to start the next cycle.
The contraceptive effect begins immediately if inserted on the first day of your period. If inserted later, additional contraception (e.g., condoms) may be needed for 7 days.
If the ring has been out of place for less than 3 hours, rinse it with cool water and reinsert it.
If it’s been out for more than 3 hours, reinsert it and use backup contraception for 7 days.
If you forget to insert a new ring after the 7-day break, consult your doctor, as additional precautions may be necessary.

Do not use VeRi Aristo if you have:
- A history of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke.
- Certain cancers (e.g., breast cancer).
- Liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding.
- Are over 35 years old and smoke.
Some medications can reduce its effectiveness, such as certain antibiotics or anti-seizure drugs. Always inform your doctor about any medications you are taking.
VeRi Aristo should not be used during pregnancy. It is generally not recommended while breastfeeding as it may reduce milk supply.
There are no specific restrictions on alcohol consumption while using VeRi Aristo. However, consult your doctor if you have concerns.
Usage & Administration
Wash your hands, compress the ring between your fingers, and gently insert it into your vagina until comfortable. The exact placement isn’t critical as long as it stays in place.
Store at room temperature (20–25°C) away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use within four months of opening the packaging.
Food intake does not affect its use since it is administered vaginally rather than orally.
This does not apply to VeRi Aristo as it is a vaginal ring and not a tablet.
