How does an online consultation work?
An online consultation lets you arrange medical care from home. You answer a few questions about your health, a licensed doctor reviews your answers, and when a treatment is safe and suitable you receive a prescription. Your medication is then prepared by a partner pharmacy and delivered to your address.
There are two ways to reach a doctor at Transtoyou. You can fill in an online medical questionnaire, or you can book a video consultation. Both happen entirely online, so there are no waiting rooms and no travel.
Option 1: the online medical questionnaire
If you already know which treatment you need, the questionnaire is the quickest route. You pick your product, answer questions about your symptoms, your medical history and any medication you use, and a doctor reviews everything before deciding.
- Choose the treatment or product you are interested in.
- Fill in the medical questionnaire as completely and honestly as you can.
- An independent, registered doctor reviews your request, usually within 24 hours.
- If it is approved, your prescription goes securely to one of our partner pharmacies.
- The pharmacy prepares your medication and ships it discreetly to your door.
This route works well if you already know your treatment, want a repeat of something you have used before, or simply prefer a fast online review without an appointment.
Option 2: the video consultation
If you are not sure which treatment suits you, or if a product requires it by law, you can book a video consultation. You speak with the doctor directly, talk through your situation, and get advice that fits you. Some treatments can only be prescribed this way, and the product page always tells you when that is the case. Our online versus video consultation guide explains the difference in more detail.
How long does it take?
A questionnaire is usually reviewed within a few hours, and never later than 24 hours after payment. Once a doctor approves your treatment, your order is processed straight away and most deliveries arrive within 1 to 3 working days, depending on your country.
Is it safe and private?
Every request is reviewed by an independent, registered doctor who only prescribes when it is medically appropriate. Your information travels over secure, encrypted connections, prescriptions go only to accredited partner pharmacies, and everything is handled in line with GDPR and European medical rules. Common questions
Can I do everything on my phone?
Yes. You can complete the questionnaire and join your video consultation from your phone, tablet or computer, or through the Transtoyou app.
Can I have the consultation in my own language?
Often yes. We work with doctors in different countries and languages, and the available languages are shown when you book.
What if the doctor declines my request?
You are told right away and no medication is sent. If you completed the questionnaire fully and truthfully, your product payment is refunded. Video consultation fees are not refunded, because the doctor still did the work. Our return and refund policy has the full details.
Is a consultation covered by my health insurance?
Usually not, because we work outside the standard insured system. It is always worth checking with your own insurer.
